Hey all, Thanks for stopping by my page. Here is a little background on my professional and personal work. I grew up in a small suburban town and had a knack for getting in trouble. I grew up a skateboarder. I fell in love with skate culture. This led me to take up photography.
I started taking photography seriously in 2013, adopting Larry Clark and Richard Avedon’s styles of photographing skateboarding and the party scene where I grew up. School never popped into my head until I started noticing the cutting-edge side of journalism, such as Hunter S. Thompson or Lester Bangs.
I graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism, along with a certificate in Photo Communications. I’m currently the Creative Director for the TRENDYGOLF USA branch, which specializes in selling high-end and streetwear golf clothing and accessories. I started as an e-commerce photographer six years ago and moved my way up to Creative Director. During my tenure at TRENDYGOLF, I have worked on brand campaigns with Ralph Lauren, G/FORE, No Members, Adidas, and Malbon.
Aside from TRENDYGOLF, I also have a presence in the music and magazine industry. I spent time as a graphic designer for TheLAnd magazine and as a freelance photographer for KCRW. Some artists I have worked with are The Allah-Las, The Altons, The Church, Andrew Bird, Young Fathers, and Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek.
As for my personal photography, I stay keen to my Larry Clark, Diane Arbus, and Ed Templeton roots of black and white absurd photography. There is just something so beautiful about seeing the imperfections we see daily.
